Austin cyclist struck and killed in Mississippi collision

Tom Wald recently sent out notice that a local cyclist (though native Mississippian) named David B. Allison Sr. was killed last Friday when he was struck from behind by an SUV on the Natchez Trace Parkway in Northeast Mississippi. This particular stretch of highway is narrower than is standard in the state, and has had 3 cyclist fatalities occur this year to-date. The Statesman also mentioned the story on their website. Rest in peace, Mr. Allison. My thoughts go out to your family and loved ones.
